Biography

I am a 4nd year PhD student in the Department of Electronics Engineering at National Chiao Tung University. I am currently a visitng scientiest in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Cornell University since April 2012, and now is also a member of the Advanced Multimedia Processing Lab lead by Prof. TsuHan Chen.

I received my B.S. degree from National Changhua University of Education in 2005 and earned a M.S. degree in Electro-Optical Engineering at the National Chiao Tung University in 2008. I had abundant intership experiences.In July~August 2007, I worked as a full-time engineer at E.E.Design Dep., AU Optronics Corp., Hsinchu, Taiwan. In July~August 2010, I worked as a full-time engineer at LCD System Design Dep., AU Optronics Corp., Hsinchu, Taiwan. In July~August 2011, I worked as a full-time engineer at Human Interface Design Dep., AU Optronics Corp., Hsinchu, Taiwan. In September 2010~March 2012, I worked as a part-time engineer at Intellectual Property Dep., MEDIATEK Corp., Hsinchu, Taiwan.

My expertise includes 3D Display and Interactive Technologies, Image Processing and Computer Vision. In the above-mentioned research, I had published some International Journal and conference papers(including the 5 SID Conference Oral Papers and 2 SID Conference Poster Papers), and had obtained 2 granted patents, with another 11 patents currently publicly available. In addition,my research results had been demonstrated on 2008 and 2010 FPD show which is the most important exhibiton of display area in the world in Tokyo. Other important awards include 2006 Chi-Mei Award, 2007 AUO A+ Excellent Project Award, 2008 Outstanding Student Paper Award by Optics & Photonics Taiwan, 2009 and 2011 Scholarship by SID-Taipei Chapter, 2011 Best Poster Award by International Display Manufacture Conference, 2011 Silver Medal of Acer Dragon Award, 2011 Best student Paper Award by National Taiwan University, and 2012 NOVATEK Scholarship.
